Andrea Pinotti is Professor at University of Milan, where he teaches Aesthetics, Representation and Image Theory. His main research interests are 19th and 20th century German thought (with a particular reference to the relations between aesthetics, theory and history of art), image theory, visual culture studies, the psychological and phenomenological aesthetics. He is member of the Scientific Board of "Carte Semiotiche" and "Images re-vues". Among his most recent publications: Cultura visuale (with A. Somaini), Einaudi 2016; Walter Benjamin, Aura e choc.
